Preserve Your Words
Preserve Your Words specializes in storytelling through the written word. Paige Petrovsky, the founder and owner, has multiple interview sessions with clients where she gets to know them and their stories. With the stories and memories captured in the sessions, she then works to write the client’s biography.

This is an excellent legacy project that will keep your memories and stories alive for years to come!
“At its best, legacy work provides a unique opportunity to reflect on your life and process through the events and people who shaped it, while still planning for the future. It can be a powerful coping tool not only for you, but for the people around you,” Wendy Griffith, Social Work.
How it Works
Step 1:
Client reaches out to purchase package.
Step 2:
Date, location, and time of the consultation meeting is confirmed. The client will receive a preliminary question form to fill out (have this form handy for your consultation meeting).
Step 3:
The consultation meeting takes place. The following will be discussed:
- Answers to the preliminary questions
- What the client wants to cover (clients are in complete control of the story they tell (some clients may want to document their entire life story, while others may only want to capture sections)
- Meeting schedules and project timelines
- Potential photos the client wants to include (these can be brought to the meeting if the client desires)
- The steps of the Preserve Your Words process
- Any questions the client may have
Step 4:
All meetings take place.
Note: Client will receive writing updates at the halfway point. Photos will be confirmed during the last meeting.
Step #5:
Client will receive a draft of the full biography. Once everything has been approved, the biography will be taken to print.
Step #6:
Biography is delivered!
“We are all storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling,” Jimmy Neil Smith, Director of the International Storytelling Center.

Testimonials:
This was an amazing wedding gift to preserve our love story – or at least the first five years of it. Working with Paige was a breeze; she made the whole experience enjoyable. It was a fun trip down memory lane, highlighting all our key moments as a couple. We’d definitely recommend Paige’s work as a cool gift for any friend or loved one.

Our family is so grateful that the thoughts and life experiences of both our mother and father were captured in a format that will allow not only us but the generations to follow to enjoy them. They both appreciated the kind and thoughtful process of sharing the memories that were important to them, and then seeing them bound in a beautiful hard copy book that will be forever precious, to all of us.
Thank you, Paige for preserving their words!

It has been a fun and wonderful experience delving into my past, and my family’s past, to share with Paige and have her do the writing! She did a fine job with what I thought was a fairly unexciting life! A lovely gift from my daughters who are enjoying the extra copies and discovering new stories from my memories.

I gifted this experience to my dad for Father’s day and he absolutely loved it. I ordered 2 books and they were laid out so nicely. My dad kept telling me how much he liked the experience and how Paige really brought his story to life, for many years to come when he can’t tell it anymore. Paige was very easy to work with and was very flexible with her scheduling to work around my dad’s medical appointments. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sentimental gift to have for generations. If this existed when my nanny was around, I would’ve done one for her as well. Such a beautiful gift and a fantastic experience.
