Bookstore Review: Grimsby Books
Earlier this month I found myself with some free time on a Sunday. In my world when I have free time my brain immediately thinks of one word, bookstore.
I decided to make the short trip out to Grimsby to check out Grimsby Books – a new bookstore that opened on July 1st. The sunny weather, the small-town atmosphere, and the hospitality of the store employee (one of the owners) made this a picture-perfect day. Even though I visited in mid-July, I felt as if I had been transported to Stars Hollow on a warm autumn day.

Upon entering Grimsby Books, I was immediately greeted by an array of green – green walls, green plants, posters, and more. Despite the store being smaller there was so much to look at that it was hard to decide where to my place eyes first … in the best way possible. I settled on the bulletin boards that showcase a number of local businesses now including yours truly – the owner kindly let me put up a Preserve Your Words business brochure.
As one may expect, there are a number of books organized by genre (I left with two: The House of Gucci and Seven Letters From Paris) along with different shelves of locally made knick-knacks.

The store breaks for lunch at about 2:30 pm so when I got there just before 2 pm I had a good half hour to shop around. I easily could have spent more time browsing and chatting, but it is definitely a store I will be returning to.
The Grimsby Bookstore website notes:
“But Grimsby Books is more than just a bookstore. It’s a place where old friends can gather, where new friendships are forged, and where the magic of storytelling brings people together. We invite you to step into our cozy store, immerse yourself in captivating narratives, and escape into different worlds.”

After visiting, I can confidently say they hit the nail on the head.
