At the end of March, I put up a blog post about my spring 2020 reading list and now that April is nearly over I thought I would provide an update. For the first time in a long time, it looks like I am actually going to complete one of my reading lists!
I can honestly say I have only been a serious poetry reader for about three years now. Before then, I could never really get into it, nor did I understand the point. Mind you, I never gave poetry a fair chance for me to understand it. Luckily, that did change.
I love reading (shocker) but sometimes I hate reading. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration but there are definitely times when the last thing I want to do is crack open a book and read a chapter.
I’ve mentioned this time and time again on my blog but I’ll say it once more, I’ve always been a reader. However, I haven’t always been the reader I am today.
I’ll be the first to admit I have a problem. I make lists of the books that I own and haven’t read yet, planning to read them. But somehow I find myself at a bookstore buying new books, and that’s not even the worst part.
