The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky was first published in 1999, and most people my age (23) probably read when they were 16. Somehow, I missed the boat at the time, however, that has now changed.
The smell of freshly mowed grass, the sound of birds singing, sipping on a cold drink, reclining in a lawn chair, all while getting lost in the pages of a great book. Reading in the summer is pure bliss.

Another year has come and gone, but now it is 2020 (that feels so weird to type) and it seems as if most people have already released their New Year’s resolutions into the world. Now, I am going to be no different as this blog post will reveal my New Year’s reading resolution.

I can honestly say I have only been a serious poetry reader for about three years now. Before then, I could never really get into it, nor did I understand the point. Mind you, I never gave poetry a fair chance for me to understand it. Luckily, that did change.
